Sharon Beer – Administrator
Sharon has been our Administrator since February 2014. She oversees the operations of the facility and meeting the needs of the residents. Sharon began working in healthcare right out of high school, and now has over 24 years of experience in the field. “I love being able to help others, and it’s very rewarding being able to go to work and feel like you are taking care of family.” Sharon grew up in Iuka, graduated from Salem High School, and received her nursing degree from Kaskaskia College. She has also completed several hours in Alzheimer’s training. She loves spending time with her fiancé, Dave, and her three children, Blake, Kailey, and Drew. She also enjoys going camping and cooking.

Jen Sullens – Life Enrichment Director
Jen has been a part of our team since November 2013. She plans and organizes activities and events that engage residents, encourage socialization, provide entertainment, and improve daily living skills. “I love doing things to brighten the residents’ day. I really enjoy seeing them happy and having fun!” Since Jen’s employment here, she has received the BCMW Head Start Volunteer Award four times. Jen is a graduate of Patoka High School, and received her college degree at Lakeland College. Family is very important to her! She spends most of her time with her mother, her two children, Dalaney and Dawson, and her two fur babies, Mollie and Lucy. She also enjoys reading, volunteering at fundraising events, and being part of the Bunco Club.
Jeanette Schulte – Dietary Manager
Jeanette has been a part of our staff since July of 2015. She oversees the dining services and ensures the residents have a variety of delicious home-cooked meals. Jeanette has always enjoyed cooking, and brought with her 8 years of kitchen experience. “I love my job, I love cooking, I love all the residents, and I love all my coworkers! We are one big family!” Jeanette has been married to her husband, Chuck, since August 5, 1977. Together they have two children and six grandchildren. She loves working on crafts, ATV riding, camping, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Jamie Thompson – Lead LPN
We welcomed Jamie to our team in April 2018. In her role, she plans and manages resident care according to each resident’s needs and assists the residents with activities of daily living. Jamie began her career in healthcare as a CNA in 2000. She then obtained her nursing degree from Kaskaskia College in 2014 and became an LPN. In college, she was part of the Phi Beta Kappa, and graduated Cum Laude. Jamie is married with six children, two grandchildren, and one dog. She enjoys making hats and wreaths, fishing, camping, and spending time with her family.
